This past week has been pretty busy! Monday night, which was spent passing out candy to trick-or-treaters, was so fun! I was a cat, and Chris was a MMA fighter. We decided to dress up about an hour before the kids started coming... we found some previous costume items in the closet and threw something together! Onto baby news, here is what is happening:
Week: 21 weeks along
Weight gain: Still at previous pregnancy weight ( But only because I had lost a little at first. I have probably gained a couple pounds by now.)
Maternity clothes: Yes! Mostly just need belly bands to wear my regular pants, and then I have bought a couple of maternity pants for comfort. My belly has definitely grown, and most shirts are too short already! I don't like anything tight on my stomach because it hurts, so I am slowly buying a few maternity items here and there.
Gender/ Name: Girl! We have pretty much decided that our little girl will be named Zoe Kate Latimer. :) We love it!
Food cravings: I love fruit! Lots of apples, pineapples, and oranges! I also occasionally crave a lean steak. This was a surprise since in the beginning I couldn't even look at meat. This is a nice recent addition to my diet. I also like potatoes... any kind! And pickles... I like pickles!
Dislikes: I can't eat spicy... nothing spicy! I also am not big on any fried food. It all makes me feel yucky. ( except french fries.. they don't bother me.) I have a few things that still smell bad and get me sick, but nothing consistent. Hot dogs have still not been a good choice since the beginning... I just stay away from them.
Daily Health: Overall, I am feeling ok. I still have to take medicine each afternoon in order to not throw up. BUT, I am just thankful for the days I don't throw up! It's been about a week since I have, so it feels great! I still feel like it a lot, but it's ok. It's really all a coping strategy. I have just found ways to deal with it and get on with the day. My belly is stretching and itching. I often still have cramps from the movement and growth, but nothing abnormal. As far as sleeping, what is that!? I can't seem to get that part down comfortably. But again, I feel ok, things are healthy so far, and I am good. :)
"Zoe, you really like music. You seem to move all around when we have on music. This makes me laugh because it almost tickles when you move around. I sometimes talk to you when no one is around, and I am starting to try and say your name when I talk about you. I can't wait to see how much you will grow soon. I hear I have a big growth spurt coming up in a couple of weeks. You grew a lot this past week, too! The doctor says that you are measuring a little further along... you might be a tall girl like me! We are starting to think of how to decorate your room... it is going to be so cute!"
SO... for now, that is all! :) I would like to continue to post at least once a week, but we will see...
First of all, those Halloween pictures made me laugh out loud! :) You guys crack me up! I can't wait to meet Zoe! I sure am hoping that ours is a girl so they can be best friends. :)
