Well, sometimes our days just can't be perfect. ;) Today has been a struggle for me in this pregnancy, and I wanted to jot down these times to remember them some day as I hold my little bundle of joy... because then these times won't matter anymore. This past month I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, and all I could think was " Are you freakin' kidding me!". So, I went this past week and got my needle poker kit.. don't know the technical term.. and they made me up a diet plan for regulating carb intake, etc. First off, the problem is that I have craved fruit this whole pregnancy.... and guess was fruit has????? C.A.R.B.S!!! Danggit! But, I can still eat some, just not as much as I had been. I am learning this week how to eat more protein, which has honestly never been my favorite thing. But, today as I got to school I had a spout of morning sickness from my stomach being too empty, then I just felt bad all day, then had to go to the pharmacy to buy more vitamins, medicines, and testing kit refills. I got home and was just plain frustrated and emotional! I cried and Chris hugged. :) That's about all that helps I guess. So, I write this all to say that I am needing prayers to remind myself that God is in control and is taking care of me and Zoe. It's weird this guilt I feel all the time for being so sick, it's just that I don't want to take or do anything to her that would hurt her. And that's when I step back and have to trust. Trust that this entire process was planned for me and wouldn't be given to me if God knew I couldn't handle it. It's easy to get in a poor me mood when I feel like a 90 year old who can barely stay awake after a long day at work! ha! But, all in all, I am doing just fine. I feel her kick a lot. I love it! Here is the latest details on the pregnancy and baby data:
Name: Zoe Kate Latimer
Due: March 19, 2012
How much does she weigh right now: About 3 pounds, and she is about 15.5 inches long!
Baby Movement/Changes: She is moving a lot now! Some days more than others, but mostly when I am calm and sitting, which only happens at night when i get home from work.
Nursery: I have a crib, and am beginning the decorating process! Me and my mom are going to attempt to make the bedding. ( I am only having a bed skirt and rail pad made.)
Me: I am 30 weeks this weekend.
My weight gain: I have gained 12 pounds as of yesterday.
Cravings: Still fruit and citrus. Still potatoes ( which is now limited...) I also crave nachos. :)
Showers: I am having my baby shower soon! I am excited!
Registries: I registered at Target, Walmart, and Babys R Us-online. It was fun, but I have no clue if I registered for what all I need! lol
Me and Chris: We are doing good still. He has been great about calming me down when I get upset about the sicknesses. Tomorrow is my birthday and he scheduled me a prenatal massage and facial! I am SO SO SO excited and ready! I can't wait to relax, and I just can't wait to be a family of 3!
Ok, sorry. This was a long one. But, I know someday I will get to look at all of these and remember what it was like to have her in my belly instead of arms. I must admit, I am very hopeful that "in my arms" will be much much better! In fact, I know it will!
"Zoe, stay strong in there and know that mommy loves you so much already. Me and your daddy pray for your health and mine each day. I know that you will be a bundle of cuteness when you get here and I can't wait to meet you! I know that your Mimms ( my mom) has already bought you too many cute little things that she is dying to get on you!"
